World of Warcraft Movie Making Guide:
Introduction

So, you've decided that you'd like to try making a World of Warcraft movie but you have no idea where to start? Then you've come to the right place! This guide will teach you everything you need to know to get started on your non-profit career of WoW movie making!

There are three main steps to making movies;

1) Recording

Before you can do anything, you need to record something in-game! You can't make that cool rogue pwnage movie without actually going out and pwning with your rogue! Every scene that you want in your movie needs to be recorded from your screen while you're playing WoW. But you probably already realized this.

2) Editing

This step is actually optional - if you're just trying to show some raw un-edited footage to your guild then you can skip this entire section. But if you'd like to make something cool with music and titles and multiple scenes, this section is for you! There are many ways to edit - this guide covers the very basics from scratch for new movie makers who don't have any past experience editing. In fact, you don't even need to download anything if you're using Windows XP since there is a very easy to use program already on your computer!

3) Publishing / Sharing your movie!

After you've made your movie, you'll want to share it with people. Before uploading it to the internet, you should compress it to a reasonable size that people can actually download. There are a lot of ways to do this, and I'll show you one easy way to do it in this step. After your movie is compressed, you'll want to upload it to a host so everyone else can download it.
